I actually got - I came home for Christmas break and I had a package from Telltale. And we had a great cast, amazing writers. There’s a little bit, but no.’ That’s bold. Story? Yay! And we make you have real agency in the series.’ And it takes something like Borderlands, where it’s like, ‘you’re a hard-core shooter… except in this. Troy: And, I mean, Telltale knows who they are. Interviewer: The marketing budget for some of the titles it was up against was exponentially larger than the development fund. You know, and you were up against Call of Duty, you were up against big Triple-A marquee titles, and your little game that most people played on their ipad… unless we're told otherwise specifically (as in the case of Scooter's death) it's probably best to assume that everything in BL:TPS and in Tales is subject to re-interpretation.** Troy:** Making something like Tales from the Borderlands for me was - being a huge fan of the Telltale Games period - Walking Dead, I think I jumped up and screamed more than anybody at the awards show when it won Game of the Year because it was like ‘the little guy did it’. Characters who might be liars, or might have a personal agenda that would lead them to embelish, color, or alter events during the re-telling. Stories told by one or another character. If it doesn't fit, then no, it instantly becomes apocryphal.Īlso, my (very limited) recollections are that Tales shows the story from multiple points of view and goes out of its way to make the point that not everything is as it seems and everyone has a different agenda.įurther still, BL1 and BL2 were events-as-they-happen.īL:TPS and Tales are just that: Tales. If it fits in with what's happened so far in BL1, 2 and TPS and with what they plan to do in B元, then yeah, sure, it can be canon. It'll all depend on what they decide to do for B元. Sadly, he no longer works for Gearbox at all (he was one of the creative directors for a while, and apparently was planning on being one of the writers for B元).Īnything else that happens in Tales is on shakey ground. He decided that he wanted to step down from the role, so. Apparently, his health has not been that great since. Mikey Newman (the voice of Scooter) had a mild stroke after BL1. How they let such a f*ck up pass is beyond me, but whatevs. They were working on a skeleton crew at the time, and did the best they could. But I'm certain that they said Zer0's voice in chapter 5 was a mess up. He's the sans of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ borderlands series Randy said himself that not everything from Tales is canon (Which is pretty lame if you ask me. Originally posted by Ralsei: Prince of Darkness:From what I've heard from everyone it is cannon but oh well, so many people want to know. Nobody really knows anything about him except he's a guy and he's badass. That it he could be alien, we hardly know ♥♥♥♥ about them except they got weird powers and technology. they just make high end weapons and Maliwan is really the only known company period that uses and looks high tech except tedior (which is only for the reload thing they do). Was he once Hyperion? Was he just a normal guy living a good life before the war between psycho's and Hyperion? I'd say Hyperion worker because how else would he have a katana that is basically digistructed with each swing? Maliwan doesn't make new technology. Is it just me or does anyone else hope to God that Borderlands 3 tells us what Zer0 is? We know Zer0 is male by the recording that can be found in the game where Zer0's target in the recording mentions "he" because he's gathering information on Zer0 that and from his voice modifier (if you haven't played tall tails borderlands spin off which IS cannon by the way Zer0 has a women's voice in that one.
